5001 Yonge Street is a landmark Class A office tower located in the heart of the booming North Yonge Commercial District in Toronto, Ontario. Situated just North of highway 401 and a short walking distance from two Yonge Street Line subway stations, the highly-visible office tower is easily accessible to all.

In a continuous effort to improve our facilities and exceed expectations, Europro has heavily invested in aesthetic and mechanical enhancements that result in more functional and beautiful workspaces. The underground parking garage at 5001 Yonge is the most recent addition on a list of improvements made across our portfolios. “A garage is the first and the last impression tenants or visitors have of the building. We always want to ensure that they encounter a positive, well-kept and safe environment when they arrive as well as when they leave the building,” mentioned Marc Weiss, Europro Property Manager.
Among the improvements to the 5001 Yonge garage is the recent installation of Elective Vehicle (EV) charging stations, LED retrofitting throughout the garage, installation of new security cameras, the implementation of an upgraded Parking Automation & Revenue Control System and new line painting.
Taking an environmentally-conscious approach, we purchased two new level 2 FLO EV charging stations from EV Direct. This allows us to create an eco-friendly environment and provide tenants and visitors with the option to charge their vehicles during their stay. We furthered our sustainable efforts by completing an LED retrofit of the lighting in the garage. Conventional lighting systems consume vast amounts of energy and by retrofitting the lighting system in the garage, we have been able to reduce the energy consumption by more than 50%. In addition to the environmental benefits, the lighting also brings a brighter and cleaner look to the garage.
Upgrading the systems in our garage was also a major priority during our latest parking improvements. With the installation of new cameras throughout the garage, we are able to ensure our tenants always feel safe and cared for. Furthermore, working with TransPark Systems Inc., we were able to upgrade our Parking Automation & Revenue Control System to offer smoother transactions, while removing the need to use cash.
Finally, wrapping up the underground parking upgrades, our team completed a full line painting project. An often-overlooked component of the garage, the new lines will create clear spots and allow us to optimize the usage of space in the garage.
