The Sarnia community came together at Lambton Mall for the annual CanStruction competition in support of The Inn of The Good Shepherd food bank.
The 2023 theme was 'Movies' and all the teams shined depicting their favourite blockbusters.
Fifteen teams took part, using an estimated 42,000 to 45,000 pounds of donations to build structures.
CF Industries built a lit canned goods jet set against a wall with "TOP GUN" spelled out using labels. This structure earned the team the Rookie of the Year, Best Use of Theme and Judge's Favourite awards.
This year's competition judging panel included Sarnia Police Chief Derek Davis and Lambton County Warden Kevin Marriott.
The structures will remain in place until March 21, when they will be disassembled and provided to the food bank.
