CIMA+ has recently expanded its office footprint at the Galleria by 3,800 square feet, occupying 10,900 square feet on the ninth floor of the Weber tower.
Tim Barichello, Associate Partner/Director at CIMA+, explains that the recent growth of their Kitchener team created the need for a bigger and refreshed space. “Our employee count has doubled in 4 years, and even though the last 2 years were spent primarily working remotely for most staff, we thought it was important to provide our staff with an adequate working space upon their return.”
The expanded office showcases an additional 7 modern and bright private offices, a large open workspace, and a spacious café.
“One of the key features of the suite was the café with seating for up to 24 people. We’re hopeful that this will encourage more socialization and team-building amongst staff. The café also provides access to the outdoor balcony patio, which will be nice for staff to enjoy some fresh air without having to go to the main floor of the building,” said Barichello.
Additionally, the suite includes a new reception area with fresh millwork and bright lighting to provide a welcoming environment for their employees and visitors. “When you walk into the space, the reception area sets the tone for the remainder of the suite. The unique features of the reception desk, and the bright seating area, will instantly draw you in,” explained Tom Hearn, Europro KW Construction Project Manager.
By including these unique features, Europro was able to help CIMA+ create a space that offers the most benefits to their business. “With the flexibility of our suites at the Galleria, we can accommodate any requirements set out by our tenants to ensure the space matches their specifications. It’s always a pleasure to hand over a completed customized project,” concluded Hearn.
Barichello also highlighted the experience working with Europro’s full-service Kitchener team. “The Europro team has been very professional to work with in all aspects. Leasing Director, Crystal Heenan, was accommodating to our needs during the entire leasing process. Tom Hearn and Matt Murawsky were quick to respond to any questions, changes, or concerns during construction work. The workers were also considerate of our existing space by keeping noise disruptions to a minimum while our staff was in the office.”
Founded in 1990, CIMA+ is one of Canada’s largest consulting engineering firms with over 2,800 employees, 30 offices across the country and 5 offices in Africa.
