On November 27th, Tecumseh Mall warmed up Black Friday as they joined forces with The Windsor Youth Centre in support of the ‘HUGS’ program with the GIVE ‘HUGS’ & Grab A Swag Bag event. Customers were encouraged to give a little warmth to at-risk and homeless youth in Windsor Essex County in exchange for a loaded swag bag.
Donations and new supplies included:
- Hoodies or Hygiene products
- Underwear
- Gloves
- Snacks
The GIVE ‘HUGS’ & Grab A Swag Bag initiative raised over $2,000 in much needed supplies and monetary donations in support of this very worthy cause.
Retail partner, Giant Tiger stepped up and sponsored this successful event by providing gift cards in various denominations to stuff 200 swag bags. Customers were absolutely delighted to find gift cards valued up to $100!
Tecumseh Mall is the hub of Windsor’s bustling east side. They are a highly invested partner and take an active role as community leader, supporter and champion. They have built long-standing relationships with local business, media outlets, non-profit organizations and the City of Windsor. The Europro team at Tecumseh Mall actively donates their time, resources and efforts through creative marketing initiatives and partnerships that have helped educate, raise thousands of dollars and increase awareness to help support those in need.
The Downtown Mission and the Windsor Youth Centre are always accepting donations, which can be made from Monday to Saturday 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Please call 226-674-0006 to arrange for different times to drop off donations at their locations.
